The files themselves are a gimmick, though the game does check for, delete, and recreate them at pre-determined points in the game, such as at the end of Act 1. Sadly, the game only checks for their files at specific pre-determined times, so deleting them prematurely won’t change anything. So basically, everyone dies and the protagonist is left to deal with the fact that basically everyone he knows is dead. Everything goes back to normal except there isn’t a Monika and Sayori is the new president of the club, only for her to become obsessed with you. What happens if you delete Monika after sayori dies? She probably didn’t tell her outright to kill herself but Monika would have had spent so much time watching the other dokis interact with the mc that she would know exactly what to say to send Sayori over the edge.
If there’s a consolation to it, there’s a good ending to it (if you haven’t achieve it) where Sayori is alive and well and thanks you the player for everything and she says she loves you along with the other girls. Perhaps by now you already know that Sayori can’t be saved. The Doki Doki Virus (ドキドキ・ウイルス Doki Doki Uirusu) is a biological computer virus created by the Belief Club President Kai. Monika is the Japanese Verison of Monica anyway.
